Freecycle
The goal of Freecycle is to reduce waste by connecting individuals who are throwing away goods with others who are seeking them.  Whether you're looking to discard or acquire an item, Freecycle groups are the places to do it!  Furniture, clothing, appliances, computers, and anything else you can think of.  Everything must be FREE.  You can find a number of area groups on Yahoo, by selecting the link provided and searching "Freecycle Illinois".  There are local groups in Libertyville, Mundelein and Waukegan among others in Lake County.  You may even want to start your own group.
For further information, you can visit Freecycle's home site at:
www.freecycle.org.
