Business Electronics Recycling
The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) provides opportunities for residents to recycle their broken or unwanted electronics through an extensive network of drop off locations operating throughout Lake County, but these electronics drop off locations can only accept residentially generated electronics.

Clothing & Textiles Collection Program
It is estimated that nearly 85% of all clothing and textiles end up in landfills in the U.S. today. The EPA estimates that the average person throws away 70 pounds of clothing each year.

Electronics Recycling
The SWALCO Residential Electronics Recycling Program supports four collection locations within Lake County. Theses collection locations operate free of charge and are open to Lake County residents only. All collection locations will remain open throughout the 2019 program year. THERE IS A LIMIT OF UP TO SEVEN ELECTRONIC ITEMS PER VISIT

Your Neighborhood Programs
Since the Agency was formed in 1991, 43 municipalities, Great Lakes Naval Training Center and Lake County have joined to participate in forming and maintaining the county solid waste management system. Agency staff provide members with assistance and advice on any and all solid waste management issues.
